Soldered Necklace using a Vintage Image

I made this necklace using a vintage image, glass, foil tape, soldering iron, flux, chain, and a broken earring.

Shabby Chic Mixed Media Canvas/ Solder Necklace

 I created this Mixed media on canvas using fabric, flowers, lace, trim, a porcelain doll, pearl beads, bling, Prima paper (Sparkling Spring Collection 2011), stick pins, molding paste, and paint. This is a moment from my daughter’s child hood that she will remember for a lifetime. She truly enjoyed her doll Jasmine it was her most prized possession.  I had thrown a Birthday Party for the doll the day I took her picture, it was a small get together with friends, cake and ice cream. In the eyes of my daughter her doll was part of the family a human like us and I was a grandmother for a very long time... I loved that my daughter truly enjoyed her childhood and had quite an extended one; she played with dolls till she was about 12 to 13 years old. I've had a passion for porcelain dolls for very long time. I hope through my art my daughter can visualize her childhood again, and in my heart she will always be my little porcelain doll that grew up and became real.

I went further with my art took a picture of my canvas and created this necklace. I used chain, beads, charms, fabric, lace, glass, foil tape, solder gun, and went to work. I love the way it turned out. Now I can always keep my porcelain doll close to my heart.

Handmade Steampunk Hat

My handmade Steampunk hat made with Paper, Fusible webbing, lace, trim, flowers, feathers,  self adhesive cover wraps and black gesso. Goggles were made using lids to my tiny storage containers and trim.

Comic Book Flats

On a recent trip to my local Thrift Store, (GONE PICKIN!) I found these awesome comic books, and had to put them to good use. I took these plain flats, and covered them in Mod Podge; images from the comics and sealer. Make sure to also cover them with a couple of coats of water based sealant, and about a week to dry. My daughter loves them!!!

 Altered cigar box for a friend, who is in the Marines. This is a great way to display and treasure his pictures and medals.

This is a fun tag/ invitation, for a Fourth of July Barbecue.

Field of Flowers

Supplies needed: Plumeria – I want it All! Full Collection Bundle

1.     Start by taking two sheets “Floweret” and “Budding Lavendar. Use “Floweret” as the base.

2.     Take “Budding Lavendar side B” and fussy cut some of the beautiful flower patterns, now place on base at the bottom to form a field of flowers.

3.     Take one of the layered trims (one with orange buttons) and place across the top of base.

4.     Take one of the transparencies (Wonderful Day) and place on upper right hand corner right under the layered trim.

5.     Using a flower punch, punch out three flowers using “Budding Lavendar side A” on one flower place an accordion sticker on top the other two place stickers and brads.

6.     Add a sticker for a stem and a chipboard sticker leaf to the large Accordion Sticker to form a flower.

7.     Place all four flowers at the bottom add picture to sit above the large flower.

8.     Decorate with butterfly stickers, brads, and sticker leafs randomly around the page.   

Tip: To make butterfly stickers look more dimensional only add glue right in the middle and lift wings.
